Qualifications Willingness to share credit, work with others in a team environment, and define success collectively rather than individually Ability to take initiative, embrace change, and learn new things Drive to be dependable, and to perform well against the expectations of the role Ability and willingness to demonstrate various techniques, and train others to fish Familiar with local areas as well as warm and cold water fishing and conventional fishing equipment Must be able to provide phenomenal customer service for our North 40 guests Good communication skills; easily able to engage with other people regularly, being approachable and patient with even beginner anglers Ability to work well with others General knowledge of hunting, camping, and hiking Must have the physical ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds on an occasional to repetitive basis, able to spend the majority of shift on feet, bend, stoop and climb ladders regularly Additional Information WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A FISHING SALES ASSOCIATE AT NORTH 40? As a Fishing Sales Associate at North 40, your main priority is to connect with our customers and be a genuine resource on all products relating to sporting goods and specifically fishing.
You play a key role in the overall customer experience by providing outstanding customer service, accurate product and local fishing information, and solution recommendations for our customer's needs.
To support maintaining an impressive environment for our customers, you will help with stocking and merchandising products and safeguarding company assets.
You are committed to doing a job well - and you demonstrate that by your willingness to learn, your reliability, your enthusiasm to share your knowledge and skills, and your genuine interest in and support of your teammates.
WORK SCHEDULE FOR A SALES ASSOCIATE This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.
This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.
